Jedi Training Academy

The Jedi Training Academy was perhaps one of the most anticipated parts of our trip.  The boys had their hearts set on fighting Darth Vader and I really didn't know if we could make it happen.  We got up early that morning so we could go wait in line to get into the park so we could be among the first to get in line at the Training Academy.  They only take children until their slots fill up so you want to be the first ones in line.  We were definitely not the first ones in line, but we were among the number taken!  By the time we got up there, the only slots left were in the absolute hottest part of the day, but we were ecstatic!  And the boys had so much fun!  William was excited to take part, but I could tell the heat took it's toll.  I'm really glad they had the experience, though.  They'll never forget it!

After the show, a very nice man from guest services came over to talk with us.  He commented on the children's costumes, especially Sydnee as Queen Amidala, and asked them about Star Wars and how much they liked it.  Of course, none of the younger children have seen any of it, but that didn't stop them from gushing all about it.  He asked if we had plans later in the afternoon and if we'd like to come back for a special treat.  Of course we did!  He arranged for a special meet and greet/photo session with Darth Vader and the Storm Troopers!  The children were over the moon!

Even Titus got in on the action...a little.  :)
