Upcoming

William’s birthday is right around the corner. We will not be ordering shirts this year, as I have several on hand. If you would like a Be Mighty shirt, let me know and I’ll see if I have your size.

Forgiveness

Often it is all too easy to give in to our feelings.  To feel betrayed when we are wronged.  To hang on to it.  To lose our sense of worth.

At those times, it is good to remind ourselves of what we know.

Ephesians 4:31-32
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.  Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Deuteronomy 33:27
The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, "Destroy!"

Proverbs 20:22
Do not say, "I will recompense evil;" Wait for the Lord, and He will save you.

Proverbs 18:24
A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

Proverbs 12:25
Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.

Matthew 10:29
Are not two sparrows sold for a cent?  And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.

Psalm 27:10
For my father and my mother have forsaken me, But the LORD will take me up.

Psalm 119:75
I know, O LORD, that Your judgments are righteous, And that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.

Mediocrity

This week I’ve been thinking a lot about mediocrity. Ever since the church we attended for so long split, and we ended up leaving 2 years later, we’ve been in search for a church. Unfortunately, I think mediocre would describe so many churches today. What makes a great church? Is it the way it makes you feel? Is it the music? The programs? The people? Nope. None of that makes a great church. Only the faithful exegesis of Scripture, the faithful following of God’s Word.  We are finally settling in on what I think will be our church home and it feels good.
But as we’ve tried so many and found so much lacking and seen a lot of mediocrity, it’s made me think about my own life. Am I a mediocre Christian? Lord, may it never be. Revelation 3 talks about the lukewarm church...“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.“
Do people immediately know I am a Christian when they look at me? Not because of how I look or what I wear, but because of my actions...my words, my behavior, the things I do? I hope that I am zealous for the Lord. I hope that my life reflects such. I fervently pray this for each of my children, that their lives will be full of passion and zeal and service, and that they will never blend in with the world. May we all come out from them and be separate, holy, a peculiar people.

Just some early morning thoughts...😜

Thursday already?

It’s been crazy busy around here! It’s no wonder I completely forgot that it’s Thursday! 😜 It’s been a bit of an emotional time, too. We have many decisions in the works, much that could be changing in our lives. And with April just around the corner of course there’s been a lot of reminiscing. Old wounds suddenly don’t seem so old, healing we thought was well on its way can suddenly seem out of reach again. But I see the Lord’s hand at work and as scary as things can get, I know His grace will always be sufficient and His strength will never fail.
I don’t really have much to say so I thought I’d just give some recent highlights for fun...
I got to take Michael to iFly! We had a blast! His parents came and his father was able to join in the flying fun. We had a sweet time of fellowship.

Titus lost his first tooth!

Game nights are always fun! Our new favorite is Lunch Bucket Joe. There’s a winning side and a losing side. Can you tell which is which? 😂😂😜

The younger children and I had a great time at the Bristow Historical Society on a super fun field trip. We learned lots of interesting tidbits about our area. Wallace and Calvin were pleased that the guide gave them a 100 on their quiz! ðŸĪŠ

Probably my favorite part was skating. I love watching everyone improve so much with each trip. And they have such a good time. Titus kept asking me to video him and I happened to catch this gem. Michael and I couldn’t stop laughing!

Have a blessed week and remember to be kind...you never know what others are struggling with. ❤️
