A brief post today. I’m a tad under the weather. But I received all the raw photo/video from Sarah’s wedding today so expect a wedding post next week. ❤️

Weary

Life can be really hard. It is easy to feel betrayed at times. Even by those we love. Maybe especially by those we love. Grace is such an important part of life. Are you feeling overwhelmed? Abandoned? Unimportant? Unloved? There’s is a Friend who sticks closer than a brother. Give Him your sorrows. Rest in His care. 

Father - Daughter Dance

 Next week...a longer post about the wedding. 

But for now, so many people have asked about the dance, here it is! I’m so super proud of this guy! He is nothing short of amazing. My heart swells with pride at the very thought of him. He is everything a father should be. (Husband, too!) ❤️

The Dress

Well, she did it! I have so much to tell but I decided to wait until the professional photos are in next week. Here's a small snippet about her dress:

She wanted simple and elegant but it was pretty plain when it came in. I suggested beading it (which Sydnee might hold against me for awhile🤪). It looked beautiful!

It took Sydnee, Sherrod, Selah, and me 267 hours to sew on 58,740 beads. 😳 Sydnee our in over half of those hours, hence the “holding against me” comment. 😂

A labor of love...well worth it!❤️

Also, when a friend asked for remnants of Sarah’s dress this week to make something special for Sarah, guess who sewed beads on a spare appliqué that was cut off of the dress? Yep...she did! ❤️

Stay the Course

Sometimes it’s so hard to fight the discouragement that looms. Relationships are hard. Especially when people don’t respond Biblically. Do I? That’s all I can control. 

Our memory verse this month is super fitting:

John 15:12-21

12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one another.

18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.
