Anniversary
And I did! And he keeps on! Happy anniversary to my love! I would do it again, a million times over...
I forget sometimes how very blessed I am. It is all-too-easy to take love for granted. I tease Michael that he's not funny, but truly, he has the best sense of humor. I love laughing with him. Or crying with him. I love sharing life with him. I love that he is so solid and consistent. And always has been. It's because he has always, as long as I've known him, loved the Lord with his whole heart. That has always been his first love. And our family has benefitted greatly from his study, wisdom, guidance, and leadership.
We joke about our different personality traits. He jokingly says I'm a "wild card," always diving in head first and you never know what I'm going to do or what I'll say. I joke that he drives me crazy because he is SO SLOW. But somehow, we balance each other out. As much as I tease about it, I'm actually glad that he takes his time and prays diligently before moving forward on most things. Not only does it give me security, but freedom. He would only admit this to a few people, but he actually appreciates my driver personality. It keeps him moving. 😂
A lot of years. A lot of laughter. A lot of tears. Ups, downs, day-to-day, and just living life. A lot has changed, but much has stayed the same. Faithful, loyal, solid. My best friend. The love of my life. My heart still skips a beat at the thought of him.
"You don't marry the person you can live with. You marry the person who you cannot live without."
